LONGMONT, Colo. —   Longmont Police responded to an airplane crash after it landed hard at the Vance Brand Municipal Airport on Friday around 11:30 a.m.

The pilot reported that the landing gear had collapsed, according to Longmont Police Cmdr. Jeff Satur.

Longmont officials responded to the scene where no fire or smoke was associated with the incident, the Longmont Times-Call reported.

No injuries were reported.

According to the Longmont Times-Call, the investigation has been turned over to the Federal Aviation Administration.
