DENVER — FBI director James Comey was in Denver Thursday and he talked about mass shootings and domestic terrorism.

His remarks happened before the movie theater shooting happened in Louisiana Thursday night.

He said the FBI has 36,000 agents across the country and the agency’s main priority is terrorism. Half of their terrorism division is international, half is domestic.

“We have hundreds of people in the FBI that wake up every morning worrying about those twisted folks in our country, who because they believe our government is illegitimate or something else are thinking about doing harm to innocent people. We also do a lot to address violent crime which we care passionately about as well,” Comey said.
