AURORA, Colo. — It was standing-room only Wednesday as a quartet of Broncos players played Children’s Hospital … well not on the gridiron … but in the hospital, where all the healing takes place.

“We hope our partnership will help improve the quality of life for our young patients and for health programs we operated throughout the community,” Gil Peri said. “Our goal is to work with the Broncos not just on hospital visits but in the community as well.”

It was all about Miles the Mascot, cheerleaders, and four members of the orange and blue football fraternity.

Ben Garland, Brandon Marshall, David Bruton and Cory Nelson took time to meet one on one with kids a bit too weak to make it to the rally in the hospital lobby.

The two teams will work with metro area high school football teams and the hospital will get extra visibility at Sports Authority Field at Mile High as a result of the partnership.
