GENESSE, Colo. — Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office spotted a mother and her two fawns jaywalking on a mountain road on Sunday.

Officials helped the family cross the road, instead of writing them a ticket, officers wrote in a Facebook Post.

The smallest fawn was about the size of a Chihuahua, one deputy said.

Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reminded drivers to watch out for wildlife, especially on mountain roads.
