PUEBLO, Colo. — Daniel Mascarenas has gone all the way down the field with this latest tattoo. He and some friends, who happen to run the Spellbound parlor on 2nd and Main Street in Pueblo, decided to get some letters inked on the INSIDE of their lower lips.

Danny is the head chief at the Classic Cues pool room and when you get together with beer and pool and tall tales, things such as this can and do happen.

“I was going to get letters, but then thought about how much I wanted a Bronco tattoo,” said Mascarenas. “Why get a letter or two, when the Broncos logo will do. I was going to put it in a place where no one else would … a place that would deliver a fair amount of pain, so I was like, let’s do it!”

So he and his friends did. Jared Soto is the artist who pulled off the tattoo on the lower lip. He says the job was tough but one he could do if Daniel could take the pain.

“He was like, ‘let’s go,’” said Soto. “We were all like, now that is a real Super Fan!”

Mascarenas has been back several times for touch-up work on the orange and blue tribute to Broncodom. Each time there is pain, but when he “Broncos Up” and “Lower Lips Down,” everyone who sees the tat knows how big a fan this young man is!
