DENVER — A woman in a neighborhood near South Julian Street and West Mississippi Avenue said she was on a walk Thursday evening when someone tried to kidnap her baby girl.

The woman was walking with the baby in a stroller when she said two men pulled up in a black van.

“One of them said, ‘Hey, hey’,” the woman said. “The passenger then got out of the van and tried to grab my stroller and baby. I grabbed my baby and ran.”

She initially reported that the suspects were two African-American men, but police said that the suspects are a white male and a black male.

Denver police responded and canvassed the neighborhood.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact Denver police.
