DENVER — Severe weather continued to threaten many counties in the state on Saturday night.
Overnight snow can be expected as temperatures drop.
The tornado warning issued for Cheyenne, Elbert, Kiowa and Lincoln counties, expired just before 5:15 p.m.
Flood warnings have been issued for Adams, Arapahoe, Boulder, Broomfield, Denver, Douglas, Jefferson, Larimer and Weld counties until 8:45pm.
The rest of the state was in a flash flood watch until 9 p.m.
Tornado watch for Elbert, Lincoln, Logan, Morgan, Phillips, Sedgwick and Washington counties was issued until 9 p.m.

Tornado warning in El Paso County
A Tornado Warning issued for El Paso County was extended until midnight on Saturday.
Severe storms threatened the area moving at about 30 – 35 mph. Golf ball size hail was possible.
The city of Colorado Springs issued a warning telling it’s residents to avoid water-covered roads.

Multi-use path near creek closed in Boulder

Manitou Springs closed evacuation center
Saturday afternoon the Red Cross opened an evacuation center for those threatened by a flash flood in the Manitou Springs area.
After threat severity decreased, the evacuation center closed but the Red Cross sent out a link on how to be prepared for flash floods.
Tornado watch and heavy rain closed roads in Elbert County
Heavy rain has prompted several road closures in Elbert County on Saturday afternoon.
Elbert County Sheriff’s Office said CR 102 from Double Tree Ranch to the top of the Bluff is closed.
Fresse Rd. is closed from HWY 86 to CR 112, also the intersection of CR 94 and CR 61 is closed.
A tornado watch also has been issued by the National Weather Service effective until 9 p.m. Saturday.
Flood alert in Morgan County
A flood alert has been issued in Morgan County. Officials there are asking residents to stay off county roads due to flooding.
Many of the roads have been washed out and high water could cause a threat to drivers.
Also, previous evacuation areas near the South Platte should be on the look out for an evacuation notice. No action is needed as of Saturday afternoon.

The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for eastern Colorado until 9 p.m. Saturday.
This same warning was issued in western Kansas and southwestern Nebraska.
Tornadoes are likely, along with hail up to 2 inches in diameter and isolated wind gusts up to 70 mph, NWS said. A tornado watch means conditions are favorable for tornadoes and severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.
