CASTLE ROCK, Colo. — Lone Tree Police Department responded to a multiple vehicle crash Wednesday morning.
This crash had closed the interstate northbound at mile marker 191, near Ridge Gate Parkway for about an hour.
Just after 1 p.m. the accident was cleared and highway was reopened.

If you are traveling N/B out of Castle Rock you might consider taking an alternate route to the east or west to work around the I25 closure.

Castle Rock State Patrol suggests alternate routes, stating one lane will be opened as soon as possible.
Hess Road to the east will get you to the town of Parker. Happy Canyon west can get you into Highlands Ranch eventually.

Hwy 85 from Castle Rock to C470 will get you around the closure as well. One lane of I25 will be opened as soon as possible.

This crash possibly caused secondary crashed, causing more traffic slowing and delays.

Earlier incident
Earlier that morning, Castle Rock Police reported a car hit the median several times on I-25 near Ridge Gate.
We are responding to reports of a vehicle that has hit the median wall several times on I25 south of Ridge Gate.

The car continued to drive and police were in pursuit of the vehicle.
Trooper just found the vehicle still being driven E/B Ridge Gate at Havana St. Attempting to stop it now.

The vehicle was stopped shortly after and driver was checked for injuries.
