DENVER — One woman was killed and another woman was injured after two shootings in East Denver on Tuesday night.

The shootings happened within a block of each other after a woman was found in the 1600 block of Valentia Street just after 9 p.m.

She was transported to a hospital where she died. The second woman who was shot near Valentia and East Colfax Avenue did not appear to have life-threatening injuries.

No suspect information has been released and it’s not clear if the shootings were related. The identities of the women have not been released as police continue with the investigation.
