ARVADA, Colo. — A three-story apartment building at 10378 West 58th place in Arvada caught fire on Saturday afternoon.
Arvada Fire Department was on scene fighting the fire that appeared to involved multiple units.
The cause of the fire is believed to be from discarded smoking materials fueled by a nearby propane tank.
This propane tank ignited the reported explosions, according to Arvada Fire Department.
Three people lived in the apartment but nobody was home at the time of the fire.
Other residents in the building were evacuated safely.

Due to the nature if the building, the time it took to put out the fire was extended, according to a report from Scott Pribble.
Water and smoke damage is possible for the burned unit.
