DENVER — Officer John Adsit has made a huge step in recovering from severe injuries he received while on the job.

His family shared a picture of him and his son, Ronald with us along with the good news that he was moved from the hospital to a rehabilitation facility this week.

John Adsit’s family says he continues to be a miracle and he is getting stronger every day.

He was hit by a car while escorting student protestors near East High School two months ago.

He has endured nearly a dozen surgeries and still faces a long road ahead. But his family says he is determined to get strong enough to go home as soon as possible.

A GoFundMe page has been set up where people can donate money to help with medical bills, family needs and unexpected costs.
