HENDERSON, Colo. — Calling it an “on-going” investigation, Brighton Police continue looking into an alleged “sexting” situation at Prairie View High School.
The father of one of the students allegedly involved, said his daughter sent a “semi-nude” photo to her boyfriend, and then someone got a hold of her phone and sent the photo out to other students.
Chan Baker said his daughter is an athlete and an honor student. He said what she did was a 14-year-old teen mistake, not an adult crime.
Colorado doesn’t have a law against “sexting,” but when it involves minors, it can become an issue of child pornography, which is against the law.
Baker said he was told that his daughter is no longer allowed to attend PVHS.
The school district didn’t have much to say other than a statement saying “We are aware of a situation…”
