FOUNTAIN, Colo. — The Fountain Fire Department rescued two cows that fell through an icy pond off of Squirrel Creek Road on Tuesday.

The rescuers were tethered to the shoreline with ropes, then they climbed out onto the ice to save the cows, KRDO reported.

According to a tweet from the Fountain Fire Department, both cows that fell in the ice are doing fine.
