DENVER — Denver is one of three cities PepsiCo has chosen to test market its new stevia sweetened soft drink Pepsi True. The limited rollout will also be made available soon in Minneapolis and Washington. it has 40 percent fewer calories than regular Pepsi.

Pepsi True was first launched on Amazon. com in October and is being marketed as a direct competitor to Coca-Cola’s stevia-sweetened Coca-Cola Life.
According to the Atlanta Business Chronicle, Atlanta-based Coke and PepsiCo hope the zero-calorie sweetener, made from the stevia plant, will attract customers following a decade-long decline in U.S. soda volumes.
