THORNTON, Colo. — A piece of glass art stolen from an exhibition at Denver Botanic Gardens in August was recovered Friday in Thornton, the Denver Police Department reported.
The piece, by famed sculptor Dale Chihuly, was found in a residence. At least one arrest was made, police said. No further information was released.
Several artworks worth about $100,000 were reported missing on Aug. 22 from a collection of hundreds of Chihuly pieces on display at the Botanic Gardens. Over the span of several months, the show drew record numbers of attendees to the gardens.
