DENVER — United Airlines says it let passengers down when it comes to getting holiday travelers re-United with their luggage.
“It was a perfect storm of sorts, lots of passengers, bad weather, and a new provider,” said Charles Hobart with United. “We didn’t meet expectations.”
That said, the giant carrier is working 24/7 to get bags back to passengers, even though the fiasco began some two weeks ago. At the airport Wednesday, there were still passengers waiting for lost bags. But while we were on hand several did get missing bags and staff wheeled them to their cars in distant corners of the parking garage.
The hope is all luggage will find its way back to customers in the days ahead.
