DENVER — Supporters of same-sex marriage held a rally at the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals in downtown Denver on Wednesday to advance their cause elsewhere.

The rally included elected officials, clergy and other prominent supporters including Tim Gill and representatives of the ACLU and NAACP.

It’s sponsored by Why Marriage Matters Colorado.

Director Wendy Howell says they not only wanted to celebrate marriage equality here but they also want to see same-sex marriage legalized across the country.

Same-sex marriage became legal in Colorado Tuesday after the Supreme Court declined to hear an appeal on a ruling by the 10th Circuit finding gay marriage bans were unconstitutional.
