On Monday, we chatted with head coach John Fox, running back Montee Ball, defensive tackle Kevin Vickerson, defensive end Derek Wolfe and wide receiver Wes Welker.

The head coach chatted about the physical short yardage drills the team conducted Monday

Montee Ball

The bigger, more physical running back had some fun speculating about whether he would have de-cleated T.J. Ward during one of his runs in those short yardage drills.

Kevin Vickerson

The massive defensive tackle said it was emotional when he couldn’t play in last year’s Super Bowl against his former team. He also said he’s going to let his pads do the talking in the teams’ two rematches this year.

Derek Wolfe

Wolfe was another defensive linemen who was relegated to injured reserve last year. He talked his emotional return to Sports Authority Field for the team’s practice on Sunday.

Wes Welker

Having dealt with his fair share of injuries, as well, Welker was pushed to put on a number on how old he feels. His somewhat-perturbed response is worth a listen.
