DENVER (KDVR) — Clouds will be around for Sunday morning in the Denver weather forecast before more sunshine arrives later in the day. There will be another snow chance to start the workweek.
Weather today: Afternoon sunshine
Early clouds will clear by the afternoon making it a mild end to the weekend on Sunday.
High temperatures will make it to the upper 40s and low 50s with a breeze. The breeze won’t be as gusty as Saturday, but you still might want to keep a light layer around.
Weather tonight: Clouds and snow
Get ready for a change, a small amount of snow moves back into the forecast for the metro.
According to the Pinpoint Weather team, snow moves in from the northwest overnight Sunday and through the Monday morning commute.
For the eastern half of the state, there will be light snow causing little to no impact on the morning commute.
Looking ahead: Monday snow chance
Mountain towns can see 2 to 5 inches of snow by Monday night.
There will be more snow accumulation in the northwest corner of the state with up to 8 inches possible and gusty winds. This combination means blowing snow could make travel difficult.
The Front Range will be mostly cloudy with light snow showers here and there with little to no accumulation on Monday. Highs are in the lower 40s to start the workweek and will stay more seasonal in the 40s for most of the week.
Thursday has more clouds with another system moving into the area dropping the metro to the upper 30s for a short amount of time.
