DENVER (KDVR) – Another swift-moving wildfire is burning in Boulder County, fueled by gusty winds and warm, dry conditions.

The NCAR Fire broke out Saturday afternoon, quickly prompting evacuation orders for thousands of people within a quarter-mile radius of the NCAR campus.

Smoke could be seen for miles in the Boulder community.

As of 5:30 p.m., the wildfire has forced evacuations for 19,000 people and 8,000 homes.
