BOULDER COUNTY, Colo. (KDVR) — An updated assessment of damage from the Marshall Fire found over 1,000 destroyed homes, the Boulder County Office of Emergency Management announced Thursday. The county put the updated total at 1,084 homes and residential structures, and seven businesses throughout Superior, Louisville and unincorporated Boulder County.

An additional 149 homes and 30 businesses were damaged in the blaze that covered over 6,000 acres. Residents have been allowed to go back to their homes in some areas, while other parts remain evacuated.

The fire is the most destructive in Colorado history. FOX31 has taken the data provided by the county and created the searchable list, and included an interactive map provided by the county.

Preliminary totals

Investigation teams are working to identify all the homes and businesses damaged by the fire. The list released Thursday included 100 more destroyed homes and businesses than the previous assessment.

Updated lists will be released by the Boulder Office of Emergency Management. Any structures which should be added to the list can be reported to Boulder County.

As of 5 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, the following totals have been released:

  • Louisville
    • Residential: 550 structures destroyed, 43 structures damaged
    • Commercial: 4 structures destroyed, 14 structures damaged
  • Superior
    • Residential: 378 structures destroyed, 58 structures damaged
    • Commercial: 378 structures destroyed, 58 structures damaged
  • Unincorporated Boulder County
    • Residential: 378 structures destroyed, 58 structures damaged
    • Commercial: 2 structures damaged
