DENVER — A statewide alert has gone out for a missing 21-year-old Denver resident who was last seen a week ago in southern Colorado.

Police say Kelsie Schelling lives in Larimer Square in Denver, but was last seen on Feb. 4 in Pueblo. Denver Police spokesman Sonny Jackson called her disappearance “out of character.”

Jackson went on to say that police do not suspect foul play factored into Schelling’s disappearance at this point in time.

Police believe that locating Schelling’s car may go a long way in locating her, as the black 2011 Chevy Cruze has also gone missing. Its license plate number is 023-WRL.

Schelling, who will turn 22 next week, is 5-foot-4 and weighs approximately 120 pounds. She also has three tattoos, including a Chinese symbol on her neck, a cursive scrawl on the side of her left arm and a fleur-de-lis on her rib cage.

Anyone with information on Schelling’s whereabouts is being urged to contact Denver Police Detective Ted Binet at 720-913-6653.
