DENVER (KDVR) — Five young Coloradans now have $50,000 to put toward higher education.

Colorado Gov. Polis announced the winners of the fourth round of the Colorado Comeback Cash Scholarship drawing on Friday. The scholarships are part of the effort to encourage Coloradans to get vaccinated.

The latest winners of the Comeback Cash Scholarship drawing include Lindsay,13, of Denver County; Anna Gordon, 12, of Aurora; Louis Arguello, 15, of Westminster; Gerardo Sierra-Nunez, 13, of Westminster; and Aaron Arada, 16, of Colorado Springs. 

Younger Coloradans are still eligible for the scholarship drawing. Coloradans ages 12 to 17 who receive at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine by midnight on July 4 will automatically be entered to win $50,000 toward college tuition or other postsecondary education.

For adults, there is still one more chance for Coloradans to win $1 million. Adults in Colorado who received the vaccine by June 30, 2021, are automatically registered to win. The final winner will be announced on July 7, 2021.
