Kylie Bearse couldn’t be more excited to be a part of the Pinpoint Weather Team as FOX31’s weekday morning meteorologist. Kylie has been a Meteorologist since 2011 and has worked in Denver since 2018. She loves the challenge of forecasting every season in Colorado.
An avid hiker, Kylie started “The Approachable Outdoors” encouraging people to get out and explore Colorado no matter their skill level. She also is an advocate for mental health, blogging candidly about her personal experiences. Kylie reports on the Denver restaurant community and, as a former theater kid, reviews Broadway shows as they come through town.
Kylie graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder with a degree in Broadcast Journalism, but found a way to start forecasting during her time at CU doing ski reports on the campus sports program. Kylie is now a certified meteorologist after going back to school at Mississippi State University.
After CU – and a brief love affair with Perugia, Italy – Kylie started her career at KIFI in Idaho Falls, Idaho and in KTVX in Salt Lake City, Utah. Kylie returned to Colorado from Minneapolis where she was the host and meteorologist for WCCO MidMorning at 9 a.m. – an hour of news, forecasts and a lot of fun.
The daughter of a pediatric nurse, Kylie spends a lot of time in hospitals with children, either featuring the kids and programs, volunteering or fundraising. She’s on the associate board for Girls on the Run and is a celebrity ambassador for A Precious Child, a fantastic non-profit that provides Colorado families with the essentials that so many of us take for granted.
The weather isn’t nearly as much fun to forecast if you aren’t getting out and enjoying it – so say hi if you see Kylie hiking, skiing or on a patio in town!
