DENVER (KDVR) — Governor Jared Polis and other Colorado leaders announced an effort to travel across the state, listen to businesses and problem solve how to build a stronger economy coming out of the pandemic.

The tour will be in person and remote, and will last a couple weeks. The areas of focus will be: the eastern plains, western slopes, northern Colorado, southern Colorado and Pueblo, Colorado Springs, the north Denver metro and the southern Denver metro.

Governor Polis says the goal is to use the billions of dollars Colorado will receive from the American Rescue Plan in a way that directly impacts communities and industries in every corner of the state.

“This will better inform the decisions that we make to provide a roadmap to recovery,” Polis said.

The tour is expected to kick off this Sunday, and all input will be made publicly available when the tour ends in mid April.

This mirrors the Build Back Better tour President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris are taking across the country.

Polis announced the launch of this tour at 1 p.m. Monday. You can re-watch the announcement in the video above.
