DENVER (KDVR) — The Denver Fire Department rescued a person that fell in the Platte River at Confluence Park on Thursday.

Officials did not report how the individual ended up in the river, but the rescue was successful. The rescued person will be evaluated for injuries from the fall and cold water.

DPD reminds everyone to stay clear of icy banks, rivers and lakes.
