LITTLETON, Colo. (KDVR) — South Metro Fire Rescue retrieved a tired and cold dog from the semi-frozen water at Sterne Park on Saturday.
Officials say onlookers did the right thing by not attempting to rescue the dog themselves. SMFR was called out and one firefighter safely got the dog out of the water.
Authorities report the dog was OK after being saved from the extremely cold water.
