DENVER (KDVR) — The Downtown Denver Partnership says that there will be no New Year’s Eve fireworks to ring in 2021.

A spokesperson with DDP said that winter and holiday programming will be announced next week.

A specific reason for the cancellation was not provided.

The Downtown Denver Partnership said it will still be holding other winter/holiday events.

The Downtown Denver Partnership is committed to building a vibrant center city year-round. Though we regret to inform that our annual New Year’s Eve Fireworks won’t take place this year, we are looking forward to announcing an array of winter festivities that put a new spin on old traditions, introduce new, socially-safe ways to celebrate the holiday season, and enliven downtown with magical things to do and see at every turn November through January.
