DENVER (KDVR) — As school resumes for students in Colorado, many districts have already reported positive COVID-19 cases.
As of Friday, these are the schools with positive cases:
PreK-12 schools:
- King Elementary, D11 – Colorado Springs (Individuals notified of possible exposure risk)
- Holly Ridge Elementary School (One second grade class and its teacher is quarantined)
- Sand Creek Elementary (All sixth grade students learning remote until Sept. 8)
- Hodgkins Leadership Academy (Some students quarantined until Sept. 8)
- Fort Lupton High School (Remote learning until Sept. 8)
- Burlington Middle School (Remote learning until Sept. 8)
- Windsor Middle School (Some students off campus until Sept. 10)
- Soaring Eagles Elementary School (School closed until Monday, small group quarantined until Sept. 8)
- Grandview High School (Two students tested positive. Some Cohort B students are quarantined through Sept. 11. Some tennis athletes are quarantined through Sept. 10)
- Overland High School (A very limited number of students were in close contact. The infected student last attended school on Wednesday, Aug. 19)
- Eaglecrest High School (Cherry Creek School District says there was no impact to students or staff)
- Fleming Junior High School/Senior High School (According to the Haxton-Fleming Herald, all students in grades 6-12 will learn from home until Sept. 3)
- Falcon Creek Middle School (One student with “major symptoms;” entire sixth grade class remote for two weeks)
- Chaparral High School (One person with symptoms; 88 people quarantined)
- STEM School Highlands Ranch (One person with COVID-19; 44 students quarantined)
- Heritage High School (One student and one teacher with COVID-19; entire school learning remotely through Sept. 11)
- Skyline Vista Elementary (One student with COVID-19. Four teachers and entire kindergarten class quarantined for 14 days)
- Cherry Creek High School (64 students, one staff member quarantined for two weeks)
- Bear Creek Elementary School (two cases)
- GOAL High School – Fountain Site (two cases)
- Jordahl Elementary School (two cases)
- Primrose School at Lowry (three cases)
- Sand Creek Elementary School (three cases)
- Dakota Ridge High School (one case)
- Westminster High School (254 students quarantined, entire school going remote. Quarantine ends Sept. 22)
- Jefferson Jr/Sr High School – Jeffco (Three students tested positive, entire school learning remote)
- ThunderRidge High School – All students moving to virtual learning on Oct. 5. In-person learning will resume on or after Oct. 19.
Colleges and Universities:
- CU Boulder (Ongoing quarantines)
- Colorado School of Mines (Ongoing quarantines)
- Colorado College
- Kappa Sigma fraternity at Colorado State University
- Pi Beta Phi sorority at CU Boulder
