DENVER (KDVR) — The Denver Fire Department rescued a construction worker who was trapped in a collapsed sewer in Northeast Park Hill Wednesday afternoon.

The collapse occurred near East 33rd Avenue and Ivy Street.

The worker was trapped about 20 feet below the street surface. It took two hours and 10 minutes to rescue him.

He is conscious but authorities have not yet provided an update on his condition.
