As it moves south, the storm will bring light rain to the metro Denver area that will transition to snow Friday night. Denver will miss the brunt of the storm, but we may see about an inch of snow on grassy areas.

Roads Friday morning will be mostly wet.

The heavier snow is forecast for the northeastern plains. A Winter Weather Advisory is in place through noon tomorrow in the northern mountains and northern Front Range foothills between 6,000 and 9,000 feet (including Winter Park, Estes Park, Nederland, and Red Feather Lakes).

A Winter Weather Advisory is also in effect for the mountains and foothills through Friday morning.

Another sunny and mild autumn weekend is expected after the storm clears out Friday afternoon.
