BOULDER, Colo. — The 10th-ranked University of Colorado football team took one more step toward the Pac-12 championship on Saturday with a 38-24 win against No. 20 Washington State at Folsom Field.

It was the biggest win at home in a long time for the Buffaloes (7-1, 9-2 Pac-12) and fans celebrated by running onto the field after the end of the game.

Colorado can win the Pac-12 South Division title if it beats Utah in Boulder on Nov. 26. The game will air on FOX31 at 5:30 p.m.

The game against Washington State was a back-and-forth affair until the fourth quarter, when the Buffaloes asserted their dominance. There were five lead changes in the game.

Colorado quarterback Sefo Liufau also stepped up in a major way.

The senior rushed for three touchdowns and 108 yards, and he threw for 345 yards. He led the team during the fourth quarter that turned out to be the difference in the game.

The Buffs are on a five-game winning streak for the first time since 2002. Colorado was ranked No. 9 by the Associated Press in last week’s poll.
