YUMA, Colo. – Far out on Colorado’s Eastern Plains is a unique story about the bond between a little boy and his disabled cow.

Ty Weathers lives on a ranch in Yuma with his sister, mother and father. For his 4th birthday, mom and pop bought him a miniature heifer, so he could have it as a pet.

Ty spent every waking minute with the animal, especially after it became disabled and couldn’t walk anymore.
