DENVER — The 4/20 rally scheduled for Saturday at Civic Center Park was postponed because of weather and “circumstances beyond our control,” organizer Miguel Lopez said.

Dubbed the largest free celebration of culture and legalization of marijuana anywhere, the event began seven years ago as a giant marijuana smokeout but has since evolved into a multimillion-dollar vendor and concert event.

There were 80,000 to 100,000 people expected for the event, which was going to feature live performances by Lil Wayne and Wiz Kahlifa.

Lopez said Civic Center Park is closed to the public on Saturday and did not elaborate on what other circumstances led to the postponement.

Lopez said more information about the rally would be released Tuesday at 420Rally.com.
