DENVER — A woman was injured after her car window shattered on Interstate 225 early Thursday morning and it was caused by “multiple shots” fired at the vehicle, the Denver Police Department said.
The driver reported the shattered window about 3:45 a.m. in the northbound lanes of I-225 about a mile south of Parker Road and northeast of Yosemite Street.
Police said the woman was injured from the shattered glass and was not shot.
The vehicle was towed from the scene. The woman was treated at a hospital and released.
Investigators said they’re sharing information with the task force working on a string of highway shootings in northern Colorado, but they haven’t found anything in the I-225 case that leads them to believe it is related to those cases.
