DENVER — The story of a Denver police officer’s act of kindness is getting worldwide recognition.
Since the morning of Aug. 3, officer Adam Foisy has given an 11-year-old boy with dreams of playing pro basketball a basketball to practice with. He’s also collected gift cards to allow the boy to get new school clothes. And he got him a scholarship to a basketball camp, according to the Denver Police Department.
The Police Department recognized Foisy’s actions on its Facebook page.
