DENVER — The Denver Police Department released a sketch Thursday of a suspect wanted on attempted sexual assault of a woman on the Auraria campus last weekend.

Police said the female victim was attacked by the unknown man about 2 p.m. Saturday on the second floor of the West Classroom building.

Auraria police said the suspect grabbed the woman and was pushed to the floor where he tried to rape her.

The suspect is described as a black male about 6-foot with a thin build and about 40 years old. He has a patchy mustache and beard, and has a noticeable red discoloration on the inside of his lips.

Police believe the man might frequent the campus.
