DENVER — A plan has been put together to put more police officers on the street to respond to crimes more quickly in Denver.

It’s a plan that won’t be cheap to implement.

There has been a lot of business and residential growth in the downtown area, but there has also been an increase in crime. So Denver’s City Council voted Monday night to spend $2 million to put extra officers on the street.

Julie Hayden has more details about the plan and the decision in her video report above.
