DENVER — Light snow continued across metro Denver through the early evening Thursday before slowly coming to an end around midnight. But plummeting temperatures overnight made for slick roads Friday morning.

Some light additional accumulation is also still possible in the Denver metro area Friday, but most places will be less than an inch.

As the day wears on Friday, we’ll likely have some sunshine and a little snow melting. But temperatures are expected to struggle to reach the freezing mark throughout the day.

There is a slow-moving storm system sitting southwest of Colorado which will keep the threat of rain & snow going over southern Colorado for much of Friday and Saturday.

WINTER STORM WARNINGS are in place in that area due to the possibility of 6-12 inches of snow. Some of that snow could lift far enough north to give Denver and it’s southern suburbs light snow late Friday and early on Saturday. But additional accumulation from this storm systems looks to be light.

Most areas of the state are expected to dry out over the weekend and slowly warm back into the 50s by next week. As of Friday, travel weather across Colorado heading into Thanksgiving looks sunny and quiet.
