DENVER — Investigators arrested a woman who they say may have helped Felix Trujillo escape from the Denver county jail on Sunday night.

Police said they have arrested 48-year-old Marilyn Annette Reeves. She is being held for investigation of aiding Trujillo’s escape.

Trujillo, 24, left the jail wearing a deputy’s uniform when he escaped around 7 p.m.  Investigators believe he was aided by Denver Sheriff’s Deputy Matthew Andrews, a two-year veteran of the department.

Andrews was assigned to general security at the Van Cise-Simonet Detention Center, which serves as the primary intake center for the city and county.

Denver police have taken the lead in the investigation and would not comment on what role Andrews played allegedly helping Felix Trujillo escape from the jail Sunday night.

He was arrested Sunday night on a charge of assisting in an escape — a class 3 felony, said Lt. Matt Murray of the Denver Police Department.

Trujillo is described as 5 feet 6, inches tall. He is 140 pounds and has tattoos on his neck and chest.

Authorities are warning that Trujillo should be considered “extremely dangerous.”

Trujillo has an extensive criminal history. He was most recently in jail on an aggravated robbery charge.

Anyone who has information about Trujillo’s whereabouts should call 720-913-2000.
